The Greater Boston Knitting Guild and Shelley Leahy, the Outreach Coordinator, have selected The Knitting Connection, Inc. as their charity of choice in 2020. Already this year, they have donated over 1,200 knitted and crocheted items, which will be distributed during the Christmas season.
The pandemic has put a strain on everyone and the requests for warm hats, mittens, and scarves is extremely high. The Knitting Connection is very appreciative of being the chosen charity of The Greater Boston Knitting Guild. We hope this partnership continues for many more years to come.
For the last 10 years we have distributed over 7,000 items to children. Due to the pandemic this year we only did 5,000 as we switched to making face masks and face shields. The donation from The Greater Boston Knitting Guild puts us over 6,000 ~ Kudos and Thank you, thank you.
